Live streaming on your video platform is one of TradeCast's unique features. Live streaming can be done in two ways: in a single- or multi-camera setup and with the 'Live TC' iOS app, which allows you to stream live content from a mobile device running on Apple's iOS operating system. In this article, we'll explain how to live stream on your video platform using the 'Live TradeCast' app for iOS devices.
For live streaming with the Live TradeCast app, you'll first need the Live TradeCast app itself. You can download this app from the Apple App Store. In addition, you need administrator access to the CMS of your video platform.
Once you have downloaded the Live TC app on a supported device with internet access, you can use the app to log in with the username and password of the CMS account with administrator access and with the Channel ID name of your video platform.
Once you are logged into the Live TradeCast app, you can choose a name and a description for the live stream you are about to start. Then, choose whether you want to offer the live stream as an on demand live stream item or as a live stream takeover of the linear timeline of your video platform. To do this, use the slider that appears on screen.
To start the live stream using the Live TradeCast app, press the red 'live' button. After a few seconds, the live stream will start and viewers will be able to watch the live signal from the camera on your chosen device on your own video platform.
Note: live streams started from the Live TradeCast iOS app won't be locally stored on your iOS device. This means the live stream will also not be available as a separate on demand video item.
